Sean and Rica married in 2006 and have been a team since. 

Rica grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. At 20, she moved to Napa, CA. Sean was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. After 18 years in Northern California, Rica returned home in 2009. They have spent over eleven years in Hampton Roads, Virginia. 

The Roots

In 1991, Rica moved relocated to beautiful Napa, CA. In 1992, Rica began preparing documents for a small number of people as a small business. In late 1993, she was working part time for a CPA in Napa, CA. By November, Rica was pregnant and her boss realized she would deliver right in the middle of tax season. He explained his small firm could not withstand the loss of a key employee in March. He fired Rica and hired someone to train by January. But he did not leave her hanging. He introduced her to his landlord and encouraged her to establish into her own document preparation business. Rica signed her first office lease agreement.

Rica has been offering these services for almost 30 years.

Jointly they intends to work full time in providing terrific educational presentations.

Rica started accepting requests to prepare name changes, quit claim deeds and other documents in California (This is not offered in VA).  The business gradually relocated to Sacramento where Rica was a CALDA - a Legal Document Preparer working directly for the pubic preparing bankruptcy cases, divorces, negotiating child support, custody and property settlements. She was preparing real estate documents and more. Rica enjoyed preparing documents in Northern California for nearly two decades. 

In 2009, the couple moved to Virginia, Rica took her company, Process My Papers, to the internet. She managed to maintain her client base through a battle with stage four neuroendocrine cancer which led to the development of Rare Illness & Cancer Awareness promoting awareness of the many rare illnesses and cancers impacting life across the world. She continued her education and nonprofit work through these years. Sean joined her in these adventures, even taking many college courses together.  Sean was educated as a tax preparer in Northern California. However, preparing and processing papers are not his area of expertise.  He is an excellent speaker and skilled in various areas of construction. He enjoys working on vehicles when time allows. 

Early on, credit repair and financial fitness for clients going through divorce and bankruptcy processes became a primary concern. The recovery would need some direction in most cases. In 2015, the bankruptcy court added courses that aided in this process. Overtime, this nonprofit work was named, and Be Financially Fit was born. 

Noticing a pattern of repeat bankruptcies, credit counseling was added to the process. This is enormously successful. For the last few years, prevention has been my goal. This starts with knowledge and training on how to apply that knowledge. 

Rica's hobby is fitness and nutrition. She has taken numerous courses over the years and successfully battled her own conditions. To ensure balance in each area of Wellness, Rica trained and certified as a wellness coach. Rica's is a full time, full service real estate agent with the Virtual Realty Group. Sean's current career is CEO of Be Financially Fit and works at James River Country Club as the Facility Engineer. By combining their skills and well-rounded educational backgrounds, experience, and real estate knowledge, Sean and Rica make being a team fun.
